Mission of MAPI is to promote the interest of the physician members and
the patients they serve through leadership, collaboration, education, advocacy,
practice and research.

MAPI since then has evolved into a well respected and the largest ethnic
organization in Michigan, currently representing in excess of 1500 members.
Since its inception in 1976, MAPI has been working diligently to enhance the
professional and social well being of its members.

| In 1982, MAPI initiated the founding of the national organization, the American
Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), which has attained a
membership of 37,000 physicians and it consists of several local chapters,
specialty societies and medical alumni organizations.
